some freshening up

Yesterday our sheets disintegrated. When we woke up there was a big hole right at my feet. So off I went to HomeGoods. While I was there I picked up this pretty top. Is it wrong that a new blouse can make me so happy?

Also, I changed the look of my blog a little bit. I realize that it looks almost exactly the same as before, but fresher, right? I'm not one for big change, anyway.

For some reason I've been having a hard time feeling motivated this new year. Have you? Guy, I don't know what the deal is. I think maybe an exercise regimen is my answer. So starting at 5 o'clock tomorrow morning, I'll be jogging with some friends. Ack! That's so not me. And 5 o'clock is really early (especially since I still get up about 3 times a night with Mr. Elliot and/or Stella!). But I am desperately out of shape, and I need help. My mind and body could both use a little freshening up, if you know what I mean. I'll let you know how it goes.

Other than that, all is quiet around here. Our house smells like a campfire as we've been having nightly fires in our fireplace and roasting lots of marshmallows. It's been cozy.

How is your New Year so far?

Cute shirt! My sheets did the same thing a few years back. Darn rough heels! I feel like I'm still catching up from Christmas but I hope by the end of this week to be ALL caught up and to start blogging again... it's been ages! (weeks)

Good luck with your new exercise program. Having friends to be accountable to always helps :)

5 am is my time with my girls. it may very well be in the single digits, but i'm always glad for that time. you are right. it is not only good for the body, but for the mind and soul. and 5 am is usually the only time that does not get interrupted by other activities. (although Elliot may be bothered, but Nate has always been good to help out when i've needed my time and the babies were not down with it)

I love the shirt and the new blog look. It's always fun to freshen things up.
If the 5am jogging doesn't work for you, try Jillian Michaels' 30 day shred video. It is awesome! And after you master that, you can switch to alternating her longer cardio and strength workouts each day. I feel so good when I do those workouts. I need to get back into a routine.

Like the freshening up. Looks nice. And cute top! Oh how I would love to go get new sheets. Mine are just starting to rip on the edges, but I keep waiting in hopes that someday we'll move and get a king sized bed.

that is a very darling sweater. very sweet. I too am in need of an exercise regimen, and since katie is 9 months old, it's time! winter weather in January causes me to drag too, so it's not just you (: Happy new year!

I was all gung-ho on a new exercise routine- which included a 6:30 wake-up time. Let's just say it hasn't happened yet. With my 3year old and my 9 month old I'm up a lot at night, and just can't pull myself out of bed. One of these days! Good luck!

I like the new look!

I'm still trying to get really motivated to work out! 5am is early and it's still cold even though we live in Az! I agree that working out is good for you and goes beyond just getting in shape! Now I'm motivated!

I noticed the blog freshen up! I like a wider layout. And the mormon.org button now comes with a transparent background, instead of a white box (I let them know about that). So you can relink that if it bothers you. And I love your shirt!!

I like the new look! I am jealous that you have clothes at your HG as well! Our just has... home goods. :) I have to say that exercising has been so much more enjoyable for me than I ever thought it would be. I feel much better about myself than I have before. It's not even the looking better part, although that is definitely fun. It's about setting goals for myself and then accomplishing these things that I never thought I could do. Like this half-marathon that I signed up for. Eeep! You will love it!

A new, pretty top totally makes me happy! You are so good to get out of bed at 5 AM on these cold mornings. I'm having a super hard time getting motivated to do anything right now. What's up with that?
