Mabel is so full of talent that it spills out of her unabated. Sometimes I feel like my only job as her mother is to help her see what she is capable of. Lots of times I feel like I am failing. But just as she taught me how to mother a baby 12 years ago, I know she will teach me how to mother a complicated teenager now. I think I just need to follow her lead.

They are growing so fast and don't think you have to worry one bit about Mabel. She is a wonderful and beautiful girl inside and out. You have done a beautiful jog in raising her and will continue because you are you.

I still think of her as the little girl in the front row of primary with the adorable short hair. It's amazing how quickly she's grown. And she's so lovely. Happy Birthday Mabel!

ReplyDeleteSo far 12 yrs old Emma is a great help with some emotions but what girl isn't. maybe we could get the girls could do pen pal stuff, old school style!! Anyhoo, happy birthday to your beautiful daughter.
