for my dream car

Everyone should get the chance to drive their dream car at least once in their life. I was lucky enough to drive mine for over two years. We had a good long run together, but it is time for her to retire to Georgia. She's off to be displayed at one of the largest after market Jeep parts manufacturing companies, or something like that. They said we could even come visit her if we want to! (Which, we totally might do someday, if we ever find ourselves in Georgia.)

I am thankful that I had two good years with her, but I am even more thankful to know that things (even the most beautiful dream cars) don't really bring lasting happiness. And thankfully, I have plenty of the stuff that does.

  1. That is my TOTAL dream car. But since my husband wasn't on board, we have a Honda Pilot. Oh, but one day, I'd love to own one of those!

  2. Oh I love that car. My grandpa owned one and if I could, I would. Some day. My dream car is a VW camper bus and I currently own it and love it!

  3. That car is SO cute. How neat that it's going to go into a museum :) You'd love Georgia. My grandparents grew up there and Savannah would be just your speed. Imagine old homes, gorgeous public park squares, and trees draped in Spanish moss.

  4. Jumped here from Pintrest but I had to say that a Wagoneer was my dream car and I had a white one for a couple years back in my 20s. It was a gas guzzler and the gas gauge was broken and I had to let it warm up for 10+ minutes in the winter but I LOVED it! Jeep needs to bring that car back! Maybe I'll get to have that car again one day when I have the $$$ to sink into it.

  7. such a pretty car. funny that i thought, when we were young and being toted about in ours by my mom, that it was just a normal mom car. how wrong -- it is so fabulous. when ever i spotted one about here in virginia, i would think to myself, "oh look, there's stephanie's car!"

  8. You have an awesome car, Steph! While others are still drooling at the photos of their dream car, you're indeed lucky to have driven yours for two years. I guess it's a short period, but driving it is still a big deal. Hehe! Do you own a new car now? Hope you'll share it with us too! :)

  9. You really should be proud of your dream car. Imagine, it'll be displayed at one of the largest after market Jeep parts manufacturing companies! It only shows how valuable and precious your car is. Good thing you were able to preserve and maintain it at top condition. Be a proud owner and do pay your car a visit every time you have a chance.

  10. I agree with Horace. You should be proud of your car, and be proud that you're given the chance to drive it. Vintage cars are becoming more valuable as the years pass that's why more companies and collectors are getting very interested in them. Well, I also hope you'll find a new car that's as precious as this one. :)
