Mabel turned eleven while we were in San Diego. On her birthday, she and Mike disappeared for an hour or so. When they returned, she had pierced ears and a big smile. He said she was a little nervous while they were waiting.
Your average mall accessories shop doesn't cut it for Mike. This guy was the real deal. (He has a 5 star rating on Yelp, even!) She said it only pinched a little bit. I can't even really look at these pictures.
Officially a tween!
Yes officially a tween.
ReplyDeleteI heard those guns are not as good for your ears as the needles are, so I guess it's a good thing! Emily will be 11 in August. Eeek!
ReplyDeleteI think that's a great idea to go to a "specialist" to get ears pierced! I will remember that for if I ever have girls. I would trust them way more than a girl at the mall.
ReplyDeletewhat a cute girl. oh i do wish we could get her and emma together. that would be wonderful. someday we will come that way. but not in the summer.
ReplyDeleteWhat a crack up! That guy, not your sweet girl. She's darling! He looks like he belongs in my neighborhood :) But I guess you know he's the expert piercer considering his own ears!
ReplyDeletefunny story--i was searching for a place to get my nails painted and i so i turned to yelp and clicked on daisy nails and the first review i came across was Mike's! i was so impressed that 1. he got your girls gift certificates to get pedi's and 2. took the time to write a review about how lame that salon treated the little ladies! i've laughed about that for weeks now, wasn't expecting to get a review from mike on the matter.
