Last summer, Mike and I started running together. Let me tell you something: It is one of the best things we've ever done for ourselves. We've never been very good at having a regular date night, so our runs have become our time together. They are when Mike tells me about work, or when I vent about what's happening with the kids. We talk about our disappointments, our goals, and our dreams. Not only are we in better, faster shape, but we are so much closer, too. Running is really hard, but not with Mike by my side.
I am thankful for our runs, and I hope it's something we keep doing for a long, long time.
I can't talk about anything while I run because I'm panting too much!
ReplyDeletevery impressive--I am with Amanda...I am not sure I could talk:)
ReplyDeleteI always wondered how you run together- I know you run early in the morning, are your kids home asleep?
ReplyDeletewe run at night, actually, after our youngest two are in bed. in the early mornings, i walk with friends.

ReplyDeleteAI deleted the comment because there were to many missed typo errors, What I said was this is so special and time well spent with Mike. Such a great idea to be able to do your running together and start the day off in such a good and productive day.
ReplyDeleteLove you
i love love love running with matt.
ReplyDeleteThis is so awesome! I love running but I don't do it much anymore with 3 young kids including a nursing baby. My husband won't let me run alone anyway but someday I would LOVE to run with him maybe when my kids are older. Glad you found a way to spend extra time together that's always special.
