2. My post baby hair loss is showing no signs of stopping. I'm pretty sure I'll be bald by Christmas. I'm trying really hard not to freak out about it, but I have almost no bangs left.
3. They key to my happiness is an early bedtime. A few months ago, Mike and I stopped watching tv, which means we go to bed a whole lot earlier. It's the best thing we've ever done for ourselves.
4. I love sewing. I spent some time at my machine this weekend and have a few projects to share. Mabel and I even worked on one together. It was fun!
5. Ok, we are officially into September now. My whites are put away. Please tell me we are done with 110 degree days.
Re: #4. I couldn't stop sewing this weekend! I made 2 quilted table toppers, 9 cloth napkins, 8 burp cloths, 5 pencil pouches for new kindergarteners (and my sister-in-law who started grad school) and 4 coin purses! It was good for my soul.
ReplyDeleteWhat time do you go to bed now? Also Shabby Apple is having a dress design contest. It's on their blog a few posts down, you should go enter and win fame and fortune!! :) Also I thought you WERE allowed to wear white after Labor Day?? I'm so confused!!!
ReplyDeletecan't believe oliver is 6, but he's so mature, i kind of think i'd be okay with him turning 7. sorry about your hair loss, that is scary! time for a pixie? :) we've been going to bed earlier, too. still watch tv, but neal's been getting up to work out, so we're aiming for 10:00. baby steps.
ReplyDeleteYay! 5 things I can agree with. In our case it's Indiana, of course, but Emma's birthday always reminds me how long we've been here.
ReplyDeleteInspiring! This is the second thought of cutting TV out or dropping cable/satellite that has come my way in the past 24 hours....the universe it trying to tell me something and I barely even watch TV. Hmmm. Things to think about.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Oliver-sounds like he had a great day. You would look very cute with a pixie. Didn't you used to have short hair-seens I remember that and you looked very cute!
ReplyDeleteLove and Hugs
I end up with NO bangs after my babies, and i don't have alot to start with. It stinks! i am really hoping that this weather is on it's way down. i have not had my usual energetic 2nd tri. i NEED the energy. can't wait to see the projects. my mom is a great seamstress but i was not a good student. that is great you are teaching her.
ReplyDeleteMy hair loss (I forgot about it but it's all rushing back now!) got worse with each one. I was panicking too...don't worry, it will grow back!
ReplyDeleteI love your TV idea. But what about Mad Men? Could I make ONE exception?
I need an earlier bedtime too.
