Be Still

This is my personal mantra.

So when I saw this necklace by Lisa Leonard, I was smitten. Not only is it beautiful, and beautifully crafted, but it is also a constant reminder to me to be still. To slow down. To listen to that still small voice that is inside of each of us. As a mother, I rely on that voice everyday. It is nearly impossible to hear it when we are always hurrying from one thing to the next. And so I try to sit quietly. And to listen.

Don't you love Lisa Leonard? I do. And I'm not even a jewelry person. But her pieces are so perfectly classic and understated and easy to wear. Her teenie tiny initials necklace is another of my favorites. I can't wait to order another charm for mine (But what letter will it be? It's killing me.).

Not only is Lisa super talented, but she's really nice, too. She is offering one of my lucky readers their very own "Be Still" necklace. Do you want in? Then comment on this post before Wednesday night, 11pm MST to enter yourself in the giveaway.

The winner will be announced first thing Thursday morning.

Good luck!

  34. I follow you on twitter and get your updates sent to my phone. When I saw that you posted “Fabulous giveaway on my blog today” I went straight on to check it out and let me tell you this is absolutely fabulous!! I just got married a year ago in October, my husband and I both work full time, he’s the associate worship pastor at our church and I’m training for a marathon, so this necklace is an amazing reminder to just “Be Still”. I often find myself thinking, where has the week gone?! I feel like too often I get caught up in the chaos/business of everyday life and the days keep passing by so quickly! I need that reminder to just sit and listen. I think you put it perfectly when you said that it’s, “easy to wear”. It’s so simple, yet has so much meaning behind it. Something that you could wear with anything. It’s timeless.

The first time I ever saw Lisa's jewelry was on my sweet, sweet girlfriend. "Be Still" was perfect. She had just received it from her husband as an offering of love and reconciliation after their marriage suffered an enormous betrayal. You see, this necklace was no longer just a piece of jewelry, but a reminder that there is forgiveness to be had and that each day is new. And when she is still...it daily serves as a reminder of victory. I love seeing it on her and when she touches it, I can see her calm down...as she remembers that what was almost lost, is renewed. Thanks for sharing this very precious, more-than-a-make-you-look-pretty, jewelry.
