Vintage-y Florals and Green Checks

Reason #4 that I am glad we are having another girl:

I get to decorate a girly nursery.

When we had Mabel, we were young and we were poor. I was very practical and made all of her crib bedding unisex. It was a pretty green toile, and though I really loved it, it wasn't quite as girly as I would have liked.

I have since made it up to her and she has the pinkest bedroom one can imagine.

Stella's room will based on these three lovely fabrics and a dark red crib (which, by the way, would totally work for a boy in the future). I am excited. Now, if the weather would just cool off a bit (or a lot!) so I could get started on that crib. The thought of sanding furniture in this heat makes me want to pass out. I guess that will have to wait until October.

  1. Steph, I love the fabrics. What fun to decorate a nursery for a baby girl. You are so good at colors and the red crib will look awesome with what you have chosen.
Hopefull I will get to see all that you have done- when the weather cools off!
    Love you much

  2. Those fabrics are so pretty- I can't wait to see pictures of the red crib- when it cools down! I did Bella's crib bedding in red, white and denim- trying to be smart too. So far it looks like I should have done everything pink!

  5. So beautiful! Sisters are the BEST! I have 5 of them so I know too:) We had some rough years growing up, but now there are truly my best friends. If I don't talk to at least 1 of them a day (and most days, it is at least 2), I am sad!
