I'm Weird, too

I think I am normal and everyone else is weird. (Not a bad weird, just a different weird.) But I have compiled the following list to show that sometimes I am a little bit weird, too.

I do my best thinking while I am flossing my teeth.

I refuse to use our heater this winter. (It is currently 63 degrees in our house.)

I clean the kitchen while I am cooking dinner.

Dr Pepper makes me crazy but I still drink it sometimes.

Mike and I can't take a serious Christmas card picture.

Merry Christmas!

  1. that is a cute list. It is a good habit to clean as you go... I should be better at it! Dr. Pepper is the elixir of life... and I wish I could see your christmas picture.

  6. Too funny. You guys are hilarious. I totally do dishes while I am cooking. It makes the clean up so much easier:) And I am totally weird because I have to load the dishwasher exactly the way I think it should.

  7. Se-xy!! I always think of the year I saw one of your cards ant Ginger and Elliott's apartment and asked if it was for real. It was the one where you dressed up in the Christmas sweater, leggings and red socks with a bow in your hair or something like like. Too funny. Love your hair!

  12. it made me think of the weirdest thing that i do - maybe the fact that sometimes when i don't feel like doing laundry, i just buy the kids new clothes....or maybe i am just white trash. by the way, nice ta-tas.

  14. When I saw this pic I seriously wondered why you departed the OC.... you would be SO perfect!
    ;-)

By the way, the only truly weird part is that you won't use your heater. Yikes!

I guess I don't get it?! What is funny about that? Maybe there is something funny and it's not showing through. It would be one thing if it was your ferrari, but what's the big deal? Money isn't everything.

  17. People who dont know you shouldn't comment on your blog. That might be the moral of the story. Everyone who knows you loves the card!

  18. Cute family! I can't believe you don't turn your heater on... 72 is the lowest I can stand in the house or I freeze :-)

  20. Each year you best yourselves, what does 2007 hold. Very funny. I think Anonymous needs to understand that the card is meant in humor and in fact it isn't about money, that's the point! Oh well.

  21. I am a friend of Emily and Robin and I read your blog all the time and love it...."anonymous" is mean. Everyone should take Thumper's advice from "Bambi"...if you can't say something nice, don't say it at all. Cute card!

I agree Lauren. These guys have never ever had to be concerned about monetary issues. Not once, never ever, and will never ever. Might be a blessing or it might be something different. I foresee the day when ten million dollars will be dropped in your lap. And I might be entirely wrong on that estimate. I think it will be closer to twenty million dollars. I will now go check the oil level on my 1994 Pontiac Bonneville that has 178,000 miles on it. Wish me luck.

  23. Anonymous- I don't think that is their car, their clothes, and I'm pretty sure Steph stuffed her bra & put on a lot of extra makeup JUST for this photo. Those might not even be their sunglasses. These people are a very down-to-earth family and THAT is why this is such a funny Christmas card.
Steph - I'd love to see a posting of all your cards sometime, I got a really good laugh out of this one and the other one or two I've seen.

  24. It'd be interesting to find out exactly who anonymous is. Maybe you have a computer geek friend that could check it out? I'm curious, and I don't even know you. Plus, it seems they're a little slow...
