Old Friends

I was feeling nostalgic today and decided to clean my room to the tunes of my second favorite band of all time (after the Beatles, of course), Simon and Garfunkel. Leslie is the only one who will understand what I am talking about, but listening to their music automatically transports me back in time to the room we shared in Villa Park. It seems to me that every time we cleaned our room we would play our Simon and Garfunkel tape on Leslie's little pink tape player. I still know every word to every one of their songs by heart. I have a lot of favorite songs, but my most favorite is "The Only Living Boy in New York." I love it.

  2. ah, steph. the good ole' days. what hippies we were. :) i have such respect for Paul Simon's ability to write lyrics. i even used "richard cory" in an english project in mr. barrett's class. only living boy in NY is seriously one of my top 5 fave songs ever. i have a really good "everything but the girl" version of it, too. maybe you can find it on itunes. i turn that song up really loud. my kids love the one about the zoo. we have the best of discs in the car. love you! didn't you and mike go to the concert?
