We woke up Monday morning to rain. Lots and lots of rain. So much rain that our street completely disappeared and waves lapped half way up our driveway. So much rain that the park behind our house (which doubles as a retention basin) became a lake. And when that happens on a Monday, well Family Home Evening becomes a lot more exciting, I'll tell you what.

Yikes...this looks like our daughter's neighborhood - Stapley and the 60...no power, but thankfully, no water in their home. Your blog is cute - thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteSo fun! I remember rains like that but certainly not that much! My friends and I would go lay down in the gutters and let it rush over our heads. The though tmakes me shudder now, but then it was like magic!
ReplyDeletewhat a fun Monday night home evening. wish we had some of that rain here! Hugs
ReplyDeleteGlad you are safe and have no damage to your home!
ReplyDeleteWe had a small amount of flooding in our yard, but our area didn't get the worst of it. Did you have any flooding in your basement?
ReplyDeleteGlad your kids had sun in the new lake! My kids frolicked at our nearby park/pond too!
