for time with my little family
We were feeling pretty desolate after we dropped my parents off at the airport this morning. So we stole Mike from his office and went to lunch. It was just a little thing. All of us crowded around a table at Carl's Jr, then the kids having fun together in the play place while Mike and I talked about Christmas presents. It was a small moment, but so full of contentment. It reminded me of that part in The Family: A Proclamation to the World that says "Successful marriages and families are established and maintained on principles of faith, prayer, repentance, forgiveness, respect, love, compassion, work, and wholesome recreational activities." Not that Carl's Jr is altogether wholesome, but it just felt really good to be doing something together, small as it was. Today I am thankful for happy times spent with my little family. There is nothing better.
