time marches on

My kids are growing up, whether I want them to or not, and I don't want to miss it. Sometimes it is easy to let other things distract me from my most important job of mothering. Oh, I hate when I do that!

We've fallen into some bad habits lately, and I'm hoping that with the change of seasons comes a change in routine. More outside time, better focus, less tv.

In other words, it's a good thing that tomorrow is a new day, and I am thankful for the chance to make it a little better than the one before.

  2. That's part of my prayer most days, being grateful for another day to try and make things right. Im so sick of the TV at my house and wish they would just break sometimes...but not the computer...that would be a tragedy! :)

I have been feeling the same. Too much distracted mothering. But it is a new day. Thank Heavens:)

  5. So very true, I've come to realize it's okay that our children see our imperfections- it's actually really good, especially when they see that we can have imperfections and still be good. I think we need to get together again soon. Maybe next week at my house?
