I'm a sewing machine.
Whenever I sew something for someone else, I like to reward myself with a sewing project just for me. This pattern was a breeze (Simplicity 2147). No zippers, no sleeves, no buttons. Quick and easy, and so versatile. I think it'd make a darling blouse. I made a tunic this time, but I have plans for another, maybe a dress, soon.
Here's a little tip: Choose the pattern size one size smaller than your measurements call for. I am always glad when I do that.

Fantastic job as always - thanks for including the pattern number as this is one pattern I could and complete on my own and for myself - yay for simple sewing jobs!
ReplyDeleteI am currently working on my daughter's first communion dress (I like that eight-year-olds in your church need a pretty white dress, too!), and while it is a beautiful, prayerful project, I am excited to make something nice and easy next! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteadorable! love your saltwater sandals too, you are so cute!
ReplyDeleteI love it! I might have to copy you. (I always avoid patterns that have button holes!)
ReplyDeleteLove it, and the print is great! I may have to comission you for one of these, looks like it would hide a post pregnancy belly well :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so lame with the machine...it would be amazing to be as talented with sewing as you are. But I might have a little sewing anxiety built up, you see, my mother made me homemade pants when I was a child. HOMEMADE PANTS!! i was always very cute and fashionable. lol
