I am a Mormon, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This weekend was our church's General Conference. So we moved the computer into our room and hunkered down for two days to listen and learn. I look forward to this weekend every October (and again in April). It means a change in season, waffles, lots of family time, and most importantly, hearing from our Prophet and other church leaders. This weekend definitely did not disappoint. I heard lots of things that I needed to hear, but these two talks stood out to me the most: Elder Ian S. Ardern on the wise use of time (oh man, I needed this one!) and Elder Tad R. Callister about the Book of Mormon.
What did you think of Elaine S. Dalton's talk for fathers? I sure loved it.
What did you do this weekend?

Conference Weekend is the best! I agree, those talks were awesome. I learned a lot this weekend and now I need to get to work on bettering myself. Happy Monday!

Those two talks really stood out to me as well. And Elaine Dalton's advice for fathers was wise...love their mother!
ReplyDeleteSis. Dalton's talk was one of my favorites!
ReplyDeleteI loved Elder Ardern's too! I loved his analogy about grinding things up so they can't distract us anymore.
ReplyDeleteSOOO good!
i loved elder ardern's, anderson's, and of course sis. dalton's too. another great conference weekend. love that first picture.
ReplyDeleteI loved Elder Callister's talk. He spoke boldly of the Book of Mormon~ something I'm trying to emulate. No wishy-washy, but just plain speaking.
ReplyDeleteDid you get a chance to listen to the Women's Conference? Julie Beck's address went straight to my heart.
Darn, that Elliot is cute.
ReplyDeleteMiss you!
Possibly the cutest pictures ever.
