Have you heard the news?

Liesl, the brilliant lady behind my favorite sewing patterns for children, has teamed up with Simplicity to create lisette, a line of patterns for women. Hooray! I ordered my first pattern about a minute after I heard the news.

I'm thinking it is going to be my new summer uniform. Like a modern and flattering version of a house dress that I can actually wear out of the house. It gets hot here in the summer. So hot that you don't want anything extra touching your skin. I need something that is easy to wear. A modest, casual, pretty dress or tunic (I think I'll make both) is just the ticket.

OH, that is adorable!

The best place to purchase patterns around here was Wal Mart. All WM's around here just closed their craft/sewing depts so I'm up the creek!

This pattern alone could cause me to take out my sewing machine.

I saw the Oliver + S patterns first on your blog and was in love... and hoping that the designer also designed patterns for adults.

Now I'm in luck and will have to keep my eyes open :)

Joanns has their simplicity patterns on sale for $1.99 this week, and if they still have them in stock, these patterns are included in that price. Woohoo!

Update: the Joanns at Riverview is sold out of these. :-(
