Sunday is our best day.


Mabel lets me do her hair. We go to church. We draw. We read. We think. We take a nap. We make a big mess in the basement. We sit in the sun and watch our silly chickens. We visit family and eat too much yummy food.

It feels like a deep breath, and it's the best way to start a new week.

    Isn't it so nice that it's supposed to the a day of rest? I mean, it's supposed to be THE day of rest. What a blessing is a gospel perspective.

    I confess I have had seasons of my life in which it was a (church) work day. And that makes finding a moment to sit in the sun difficult, but you've described a day that we can all work towards. I really believe that.
