Ah! I'm not ready for it to be December.
Mike brought a Christmas tree home the other night. I guess that means we need to decorate for Christmas. I don't think I'm over Thanksgiving yet. :)
Of all of our decorations, Mabel and Oliver were most excited about putting up our advent calendar. Do you remember it?
Maybe sometime I can show you how I made mine.
oh please do share - it's perfect.

ReplyDeleteWe still dont have one, despite me longing for one every year. I dont want one that you eat a piece of chocolate every day... I forget what yours does? Do you just add a new piece every day until its complete?
ReplyDeleteSO, you don't know me, but I love your blog. I just discovered it a few months ago. It looks your baby #4 is close to my baby #4's age, I think (she was born May 4th). Anyways, I would love some info on how you did this and how it works! I am really needing to get with it and make an advent calendar! My three other kids would LOVE it.
ReplyDeleteMy mom had a thing for nativity scenes when I was growing up. She had SO many of them! I bet she'd love that one.
ReplyDeleteWe don't have a calander yet, but at a primary activity our kids made a countdown paper chain, with scriptures on each chain for each day in December. The kids love playing with the chain and tearing off the link and counting the days till Christmas! We have also done a paper chain to count days before a Birthday and they love it!
ReplyDeletePattern Please??
ReplyDeleteThat is absolutely adorable!!
ReplyDeleteYes, please post patterns and/or tutorial when you get the time (if you feel like sharing)! I would love to have this in my house for Christmas:)
Can't I just pay someone $45 to make me one of these cause you know I'll never do it myself?!
