Repurposing is all the rage.

It's too hot here to even think about ironing.

I had a shirt hanging in my closet that I had never worn. I kept thinking it would fit me after I had the baby, but it just wasn't right. I was going to get rid of it during my latest closet purge, but I decided to make it into a skirt for my Mabel instead. I cut off the top of the shirt, right below the sleeves and made a casing for elastic. I used the neckline for pockets, and one of the cuffs for a tie in the front. I'm not sure about the tie, but Mabel likes it, so I guess it will stay. I love projects like this.

I'm like, so green. :)

  4. I love this color so much and wish I had a skirt just like this in my closet! Like every detail! After spending the past week in hot dry desert climate this darling skirt seems just perfect for staying cool and stylish in the triple digits.
