the last day of freedom
School starts tomorrow.
Before the rigors of second grade and pre-k begin we are taking advantage of this last day of summer vacation to do whatever we want.
We are wearing pajamas, not making beds, playing computer games, watching movies, and making messes that we don't intend to clean up.
Now, if you'll excuse us, we are off to Wendy's to get frosties for lunch.

ReplyDeletesounds wonderful. crazy that oliver and chelsea will be in pre-K this year...he was a newborn and i was pregnant with chelsea when i met you years ago...how time flies.
ReplyDeletewhat are your plans for your time with only one at home? i'm dreaming big: sewing up a storm and reading lots of books. and occasionally a nap for myself.
That really does sound absolutely lovely! Good luck to y'all and I hope you enjoy those frosties!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great IDEA.
ReplyDeleteMabel and Oliver won't forget the good time and frosties for lunch. What a good Mom.

I love how you spent your day! We "practiced" getting ready for school, then swam and got McD's! But the idea of staying in pj's and watching movies with no work is awesome.
ReplyDeletewow... i have a little ocd and don't know if I could actually stand to go with out getting the beds made, and then making messes without intending the clean them up!!! I really need to loosen up. Maes once told someone that my favorite thing is to clean.
ReplyDeleteWell, tonight I'm going to bed without putting the last of the groceries away (laundry soap, tuna and mac and cheese... if I were not so tired it would kill me! )
Sounds like a perfect day!
