Things are looking brighter around here.

Here are a few reasons why:

a. Stella gets her cast off in 6 days! It's been a looong four and a half weeks and Tuesday can't come quickly enough. We are so done with stinky sweaty casts.

b. We celebrated Mother's Day a bit early and got a new rug for our living room. It is not the one I posted about, but I love it just the same. It's big and soft and so very pretty.

c. A new rug means new curtains and pillows, of course. I replaced the old dark green chenille curtains that were left over from our house two houses ago with cream linen. A vast improvement, I think.

Next to be brightened are my roots. Phew. They are verging on scary.

  1. i love the picture of Stella and what I assume is the new rug? Will she need physical therapy when the cast comes off?

  2. The rug is beautiful. I didn't even notice the curtains. Stella can really get around in the cast, but she still gets so frustrated. And she is so heavy!! Amen to getting the cast off. Can't wait to squeeze her.

  7. Very cute! Love the rug and your daughter skedaddling along with her cast is adorable. My younger sister had a cast at just under age 2 - it's amazing how little ones adapt and how quickly they heal.

  8. Love the rug. Would you be willing to share details: brand, style and where you got it? I would love it is a smaller size for my entry.

  9. Morrill Family, the rug is from Pottery Barn. I believe it is called the Emerson Rug, but it is no longer available on their site. I got mine on craigslist. Don't you love craigslist?
