Spring Cleaning

I'm busy spring cleaning this week. Yesterday I touched up the paint on my baseboards. Today I am doing the windows and de-cobwebbing the outside of the house.

I used to watch my Grandma B sweep the outside of our house when she came to visit and I thought she was nuts. Hmmm.

We are having absolutely perfect weather, so I am trying to be outside as much as possible. Nice weather makes everything so much more pleasant (including picking weeds and playing with a rambunctious puppy). Our nice weather doesn't last long. Trust me, in a few weeks we'll be dying of heat stroke.

What's happening at your house this week?

  1. I was just outside on my front porch on Saturday thinking I need to de-cobweb. Maybe it will get done, but probably not. Emma had her pre-kindergarten shots this morning, so while she and Sophie are hunkered down watching a movie, I think I'll put in a zipper. :-)

  2. We've had great weather in Texas, too this week. Lots of cleaning at my house, pulling weeds and washing my car so I could enjoy the outdoors, going to my son's baseball game last night...more enjoying being outdoors. But the rain is moving in today and should stick around until the weekend. I'm actually looking foward to that, too! And, on top of that, I crocheted four preemie baby caps to donate to my church so far this month. I'm setting a goal to make at least 10 each month...we'll see if I can stick with it.

Thanks for the reminder that the outside of my walls need dusting, too. That is a good way to enjoy the sunshine and to be productive around the house!

  3. I just wanted to drop in and say that I recently found your blog through Lindsay's, and I love it! Spring cleaning is a must! One of my favorite things to do are windows, and outsides of houses CAN get very dusty/full of cobwebs.

  5. I sweep the outside of my house too! Here in Ohio we are waiting for the warm weather, cleaning like crazy so that when it gets here I can be out enjoying and not cleaning.
