The Last Thing

It wasn't that long ago that she was this new.

Babies don't keep.

This is a lesson I have to relearn with each of my babies.
I try to enjoy every moment, because I know this time won't last nearly long enough.

This was taken just moments ago.

Have I mentioned how much we love this silly baby?

  1. I've loved reading all your 'things' so much...the banana cup and reading light/changing table are especially genius. You've got some lucky kids over there.

  3. Grrr.

I love my little one at every stage, but babies are something special.

Thank goodness for a biological clock or I might just have 100.

p.s. Deleted above comment as I was signed in as Mr. Dub. Didn't think he would appreciate any inferences to a uterus.

  4. I love you. And I love that you don't make me feel like a bad mother because I lack the amazing motherly qualities that you have. Thanks for that and your great example. :)

  5. I think everything going on with the Nielson's and the death of a young cousin of mine - it is hard for me to not just gobble up every second I have with my boys. It goes faster then we could ever imagine. It is the best advice.

  7. Your "things" have been so so so great. And I have now been doing the banana thing EVERY day. Stella is so cute. I love that photo taken "just moments ago."

  8. Oh, I read this while nursing my five week old! Talk about tugging at the emotions. You're right, this is one you learn over with each one. I llok at the baby and my other three and wonder how it is that so much time has gone by since they were this small. Stella is so adorable.
