We used to be so cool.

When Mike and I first got married, I drove a sporty little silver wagon. He drove a vintage scooter. We were totally cutting edge (granted, it didn't take much to be cutting edge in Provo), but we were definitely cool.

Now we drive this:

We're nerds. Smart, happy nerds.

I know a lot of people are opposed to mini vans. All I have to say is that I can open my car doors with the touch of a button. Boo-yah, suv lovers.

  1. You live in Provo?! Or you lived in Provo? Me, too.

I did love my van when we needed it, but now we don't. The older kids got too big. :(

  5. hooray. so does mabes have to sit in the back by herself after Stella comes? audrey hated that. now parker sits back there, too, which i hate when it comes to unbuckle time.

anyway, congrats. and don't forget about your cell phone holster cool factor.

  7. Yeah! It is definately cool if it's black- I'm jealous. Mini vans are the way to go if you have little kids, no one can convince me otherwise.

  8. Don't worry Stephanie. It won't be long before you are feeling cool again! Or maybe you won't, but you'll just love that van too much to care.

  9. I didn't think I would make a minivan Mom. But I love it! We checked out both minivans and Yukons, but the auto-doors are the bomb! I love that Mia can get in and out by herself. So convenient.

  10. it's seems like all moms who have more than 2 kids eventually come to the minivan revelation. it's the auto-doors. seriously.

    p.s. nice use of boo-yah!

  11. i am glad that you have THREE kids and a mini-van. people who have ONE kid and a mini-van are the real nerds.

your coolness will never escape you.

  12. Hey I'm jealous of your mini-van! That's what I want... a black one, makes it just a little bit cooler :) Good luck with the delivery!

  13. i now can't imagine life without the beauty of the minivan. people that think they are not cool - just haven't driven one.

  14. My van was great, but we outgrew it. We now drive a 9-seater Yukon. We stopped at 7 kids because I refuse to drive the 15 passenger van. :)

  16. My first mini-van (and there were more)was an unbelievably proud moment ... because it represented who I was.

Stand tall. Slide those doors. Have those beautiful babies.

    (Good luck on the latter.)

  18. It took me a while to decide on a minivan... now I'm so glad I did! It is so much more convenient that an SUV.

  19. my husband used to be opposed to minivans. not anymore, we wanted to buy one when henry was on the way. however the suburban sort of fell in our laps for a super duper deal, otherwise I would be driving a nice minivan right now, which is oh so much easier on the gas mileage.

  20. I will not be getting a mini van but I must say that new caravan with the table in the back is pretty cool.

  21. No, you are still totally cool. And it's black, so that makes you even cooler. I'm glad you got it just in time for Stella! As far as the awesome "boo-yah," I do have to admit my SUV has push button doors AND push button tailgate... they out there... few and far in between.

Enjoy your new ride! New cars are fun.

  25. I love that my girls are no longer slamming their fingers between our car and some other person's car!! It also fits me much better, when you are 5'10" it's tough to squeeze into cars.
