I am not a fan of Halloween.
But I do love that my kids get to use these:
Vintage trick-or-treat bags
(the picture really doesn't do them justice)
Made by my very own Grammy when I was little.
(How old does something have to be to officially be called "vintage"? Does about 25 years count?)

Can't believe you still have these. Wish I still had the pattern. So glad you kept them and Mabel and Oliver can use them.

as you know, i am highly jealous of the fact that you have these. i remember thinking that black lace was about the prettiest, coolest thing i'd ever seen.

ReplyDeleteI couldn't resist...I had to comment on this post. I have the exact same pumpkin (on the right) that my grammy made for me 20+ years ago. I am so excited for my little girl to use it on her first trick-or-treat expedition this year. Maybe my Grandma still has the pattern...I will have to ask.
ReplyDeleteDarling. But how does all of the candy fit in them?? I always went for the pillowcase. I guess these would be better for your teeth, and tummy.
ReplyDeleteI think classic would be the appropriate term. I wish I had one of those. They are very cool.
ReplyDeletethese days, Scarlett Johansson wears a Dior dress from 1987 and it's "vintage." so i definitely think those pumpkins count!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Do they have lids that flop over? Of course, I'm still working on my kids costumes (last minute as usual). Maybe I could make them for next year.
ReplyDeleteMr and Mrs h if your grammy still has the pattern I would love to have a copy and then I could make them for my other great grandchildren.

ok, i think those totally look like something out of pottery barn! way cute and very vintage!
ReplyDeletesometimes even brand new things are called vintage as long as they have a certain look.
ReplyDeletethe "old" vintage stuff (like those darling pumpkins) are way cuter than the "new" vintage stuff.
Those are adorable- I think if it was pre 80's it's vintage. Especially onsidering all the "antique" shops downtown have stuff from the 50's and 60o's.
ReplyDeletethey do bring back alot of villa park memories! good ones!
