Ok, maybe I wasn't forced. Maybe I was just a little antsy.
But I am having this baby 3 weeks from today (!) and she still didn't have a place to sleep.
Here's the thing, Mike is a busy guy. He works really long hours. He just hasn't had the time to move bedrooms around.
So I did it myself. I probably shouldn't have, but I just couldn't wait any longer.
Now Oliver has his room in the basement (which he loves), and Stella has a delightful room across the hall from me.
So without further ado, here it is. . . the red crib:
I have to say that Mike did a totally excellent job painting it.
I wasn't willing to sacrifice my unborn child's brain cells to man the spray paint myself.
Thanks, honey.

I was forced to take matters into my own very pregnant (or puffy) hands.

so happy for stella's prettiness. not happy for your uterus.
ReplyDeleteThat turned out so beautiful! Stella is one lucky girl to have such a DIY mom...
ReplyDeleteI see a Design Star winner in your future!
I'm so jealous that you have a basement in AZ! And, I love the S for Stella's wall.
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of paint did you use that is safe for babies to chew on? Basecoat? Top laquer? I'd love to paint ours for the next one.
ReplyDeleteof course it is incredible! you really do have a gift, steph!
ReplyDeletewhy do i love RED so much. perhaps it has something to do with my last name.
OK, love it! That looks so great! But no more moving furniture by yourself!
ReplyDeleteI'm the same way! I was carrying furniture by myself all around as I was moving bedrooms... a girls gotta do, what a girls gotta do.
ReplyDeleteI would also like to know what paint you used, so that I can be sure to use the right paint for the baby as well.
P.S. I made the bread AND the cookies. Probably ate one loaf by myself and many cookies. YUM. My family thanks you, my hips do not.
i love it! i'm such a sucker for red!
ReplyDeleteI totally want a new crib now. It's so pretty! Cute bedding, too.
ReplyDeleteWord. That looks amazing. If only I were a few feet shorter so *I* could sleep in it. :) That's so exciting that Miss Stella is only three weeks away!
ReplyDeleteLove the red! I'd like to know paint you used, also.
ReplyDeleteAnd I made the pumpkin bread yesterday. Two deliciously large loaves. Cleo's been nibbling on the bread all day. :)
That is a gorgeous color! I really am in love with the red. And I think you might be nesting... ;)
ReplyDeletesorry robby wasn't able to help mike out more this week. but the room looks great! i hope you didn't over-do it!
ReplyDeleteIt really looks great!
ReplyDeleteWell if you didn't go into labor, you're good! The crib looks SO cute! I just showed Sam and tried to talk him into painting ours- I don't think it's going to happen but I absolutely love it!
