A First Time for Everything

Tomorrow morning, bright and early, you can find me sitting by myself at Traffic School. Having never been, I am not quite sure what to expect. (Yes, I have a stellar driving record. But I suppose had a stellar driving record would be more correct now that I have been caught doing 47 in front of a high school.)

Currently (it is 10:30 pm) you can find Mike sitting by himself at our local Urgent Care facility. You see, we have both managed to come down with a miserable sore throat sore body fever chills thing. Mike has the worst of it, and since someone had to stay home with our sleeping babes, he had to take himself to the lonely urgent care place. Isn't that sad?

Well, I figured that if I was going to be miserable with this flu thing, I might as well be miserable at traffic school.

What a great way to kick off our Spring Break festivities.

The good news is that we are currently receiving expanded cable on accident and I can drown my sorrows in a Real Housewives of Orange County marathon.

I am fighting the guilt that this new discovery brings. And I vow to call our cable company about it as soon as I am well. ("Well" being a relative term, of course.)

  1. Ohh, I love that show. Sorry you guys aren't doing well. That's definitely no fun. Hopefully the kids won't get it. Oddly enough two friends of mine have both in the past couple of months gotten a ticket for the exact reason you did. One went to ts and the other fought it and won. Apparently the cops set up a speed trap there rather frequently.

  2. here's my experience from AZ traffic school -- they just tell you how to get away with speeding without getting a ticket next time. here's my experience with instacares -- they're not really doctors but they play them on the nights and weekends. here's my experience with the flu -- it sucks. so feel better!

  3. What a bummer! Sick and traffic school and it's Spring Break with 90 degree weather.
I also have a stellar driving record and I have to be sooooo careful because there are so many schools around my development. Sorry you have to spend your Saturday at TS.

  5. I'm so sorry about the flu. That is the worst! It seems like you were just sick with something else! I hope you feel better for Mexico!

  6. Ohhhhh traffic school! I had to do that once. It was boring and they would not let us out even 1 minute early. During the movies to accompany some of the rules I close my eyes for a minute and next thing I knew they were over and the lights were on. Better than haveing a ticket on my record.
Get better soon and traffic school is only 1 day!

  8. Sorry about the rough weekend- I hope you are both feeling much better and have a great time! Hopefully traffic school wasn't as bad as you were afraid of- last time I went the guy did a Power Point presentation, which was MUCH better than the time before where the just lectured for 8 hours...

  10. We get cable accidentally free too and I love it :) I justify it by the fact that they rip us off for our cable internet and we pay just to get local TV channels around here. Maybe someday I'll get a conscience.
