One More Reason to Love Target

Target has great commercials. They feature excellent music and beautiful scenes. But my favorite thing about them right now is that they say "Merry Christmas"! This one is the best. It seems like now a days people are too afraid to say "Merry Christmas". They don't want to offend anyone. That is fine. I don't like to offend people, either. But I am so tired of hearing "Happy Holidays". I am glad that a huge corporation like Target can acknowledge the reason we are celebrating this fabulous season. Maybe I should spend more of Mike's hard earned cash there this week, just to show my appreciation.

  1. yes, very cool - I also love their Christmas decorating sceme this year - the red with white shilouettes (SP?) - so striking. I believe I may just be doing the same as you - another trip to my beloved Target tomorrow!

  6. I agree! Before Jaxon, I was an executive with the Target Corporation for 8 years, for whatever reason I am still very partial to it and don't shop any of their competition. Anyway, I remember actual "board meetings" about this very subject and they really stand true to Christmas... not just the Holiday.

Target Corp. also gives 5% of its pretax profits to local charities where their stores are located.

  8. I think y'all are nuts to want to go to Target at this time of year!!
But 'yay' for Target and Merry Christmas. :) I felt really bad when they wouldn't let the Salvation Army collect donations any more; then Brent told me that the S~Army published anti-Mormon pamphlets.
    Oh, geesh.
    Merry Christmas, everyone!

I know of no such pamphlet published by the Salvation Army. I personally think the Salvation Army does some very fine work. Im sure they are not perfect but then again neither is the LDS.
