Onesie Weather

It was 82 today.
Stella was hot.

With Mabel being sick, we haven't left the house since last Sunday.
We mostly sit around and take pictures of this cute baby.
She's still the most exciting thing going on around here.
Maybe someday I'll have something else to blog about.
Until then, she's it.
Enjoy.

My Idea of Heaven

A clean house.
A sleeping baby.
A warm, lazy afternoon.

Hey Les

Remember those shirts from Nordstrom we were just talking about?
This shirt reminded me of the polka dotted one you miss.
It comes in green, too.
It looks like you.
And green is your fav.

Will someone please tell this baby to relax?

She refuses to recline.

Mabel is on the mend, by the way.
Thanks for your concern.

Mabel has "ammonia"

So while she watches this

Miss Stella and camera-shy Oliver stay far far away from her. One kid with pneumonia is enough, I think.

Mike loves Me.

That there's a bag of doughnuts just

for me (but I ended up sharing with

the kids because I'm nice like that)
.

Happy 7 years to us!

I'd marry Mike again in a second. It

was the easiest and best decision I've

ever made.

He's a dream boat.

Friday, February 22, 2008

In honor of our anniversary tomorrow,

here's an old picture and some totally useless information about us.

What is his name?
Honey. Oh, I mean Mike.

How long have you been together? We've been married for 7 years tomorrow, but have loved each other for 10. (That year when I didn't write to him on his mission still counts, right?)

Who eats more? Right now I do. I've got a baby to support.

Who said I love you first? Mike did. It was Valentine's Day 1998. I was visiting him in Arizona with my good friend Mrs. Dub. He took me to an orange grove late at night where we climbed some sort of high tower, or something (it was dark and my memory is foggy). He had a rose waiting for me and seemed super nervous. It was dreamy. (I'm sorry we left you at Wes' house, Mrs. Dub. You were such a good sport. I think your mom was mad that we got home so late. Sorry Sister Ess.)

Who is taller? Definitely Mike, thank goodness.

Who sings better? Mike, for sure. Did you know he's the singer in a band? What's the name of your band again, honey?

Who is smarter? Mike has more practical knowledge. I have a bigger vocabulary. We make a pretty good team.

Who does the laundry? Me. And I like it.

Who does the dishes? I do. He doesn't load the dishwasher right.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Mike. I have to sleep closest to the kids.

Who pays the bills? Me

Who mows the lawn? Mike

Who cooks dinner? Me. Unless I'm too tired. Then Mike will whip up something totally delicious like it aint no thing. He's a much better cook than I am.

Who drives when you are together? Me. Unless we're on a date.

Who is more stubborn? Hmmm. That's a toss up.

Who is the first to admit when they're wrong? I think it's about even.

Whose parents do you see the most? Mike's. They practically live across the street.

Who kissed whom first? Mike kissed me first. (On the second date, no less.)

Who proposed? Mike. I don't remember what he said, but I do remember that it was real sweet and a total surprise.

Who is more sensitive? Me. I like to blame it on the years of teasing I endured at the hands of this guy and this guy.

Who has more friends? Totally Mike. (Although I wouldn't exactly call him outgoing.)

Who has more siblings? I do.

Who wears the pants in the family? Mike. Just as he should.

I just want to take a shower.

This is the problem.
Stella has decided that she doesn't like her bed.
Or her swing. Or her bouncy chair. Or her carseat.
She only likes me.

I'm flattered, but that means I'm stuck. (and stinky.)

Oh well.
I guess I should live it up and go relax on the couch, or something.

(Honey, don't be surprised when you get home from work and I am still in my pajamas. As if this is the first time that's ever happened.)

This is what we're doing tonight.
How about you?

In Honor of Valentine's Day Tomorrow

Best love song ever.

(Even if the guys singing it are kind of silly looking.)

I'd like to thank my personal shopper.

I love my new coat.
Thanks, Les.

Maybe you can help me pick out a new wardrobe once I've lost the baby weight (and then some).

I'm a terrible shopper, you know.

Out of the Archives

Mabel, age 2

I don't know about you, but I am plum out of blogging ideas.
So just enjoy a little cuteness circa 2004.

Arizona winters are lovely.

In other news, I think I am going to be sick.
We'll miss you, Mitt.
You've got my vote in 2012!

The Song of the Day

It is dark, cold, and rainy here.
This song is lovely for a day like today.

In other news, don't forget to vote tomorrow.

(But only if you will be casting your vote for Mr. Romney, of course.

McCain supports can please stay home.)
