Boston, Mass: A Report, part one

Last week was Fall Break in Arizona, so we packed up our sweaters and headed for the fall colors in beautiful Massachusetts. Mike and I both have roots there, and it was high time that we visited them.

Our first stop was Mike's Granddad, Bob. It had been over three years since we saw him last, and he was just as warm and welcoming as I remember.

He has a mind like a steel trap, and I love that through my blog he knows us, even though we don't see him nearly often enough. The time we spent visiting with him was so special.

We love you Granddad!

  1. So glad you got to visit and see family. Know the cousins had a great time together. Big difference in weather wasn't there? Beautiful though with fall colors.

  3. Oh...Boston. We are planning a trip there for April 2015 as I just qualified to run the Boston Marathon. We will spend the week following doing some site seeing and I will need to hit you up for some advice. My mother in law seems to think we need to take the whole family as she is coming too and said she will watch the kids...However, the idea of having a 2 1/2 year old with us does not sound like the most fun ever...especially saturday- monday as we get ready for the race. i'll have to get your advice on that as well. Maesyn will be 11 and might get something out of the history, jake would be 9...so he might too...but not sure about a 5 1/2 and 2 1/2... It is ok to take week long trips without kids,.right? (plus the expense of plane tickets!!!!)
