winter grass

Every time I drive up to my house these days, I smile. Our winter grass is in full effect and it is beautiful. Mike's hard work has totally paid off. It is thick and lush and so green. I love our winter rye! I know it sounds silly, but I am thankful for it. When I feel it's soft coolness between my toes, I forget for a minute that I live in the middle of the desert.

  1. The grass is so green and thick-your are right it doesn't look like the desert. That cute Elliot is soooo adorable. Can't wait until next week so I can see him. Talked with Mrs Hummel this morning and she asked about you. She still says "How did her old students grow up so fast?" She wants to see pictures of all of you so I will take them tomorrow to Curves so she will know how beautiful the Court family is.
    Love you

  3. It is very hard to have winter grass with irrigation. it is the softest grass ever though and I would love to have it!

  5. The chickens would enjoy that grass, also. You ought to let them onto it for a couple of hours. :)
