I am officially uncomfortable.

Please forgive the tightness of my shirt. It is purely for illustration purposes and would never actually be worn outside of the house.

Is it possible that my bump quadrupled in size last night? Because I am almost convinced that it did. All of a sudden I feel ginormous. Maybe it's because I'm officially in my third trimester (I am 25 weeks and can't believe how fast this pregnancy is flying by!). I hear myself releasing great sighs and grunts whenever I move, but strangely, I don't remember making these weird noises. They get louder as the day progresses and often prompt my husband to ask me if I'm ok. I'm fine. I just can't move very easily anymore. And please don't ask me to get up off the couch. I just don't think I can do it. I think I even waddle. (Isn't it too soon to waddle? Shouldn't that come a little bit later? I don't remember.) I can't bend over. I am always hot. And the thought of eating an antacid makes me want to throw up. But I pop them all day long like they are candy. They're not. They're gross. But my heart burns.

All of this and I still adore being pregnant.

Honest.

  1. How can you NOT love growing a person inside of you? It's such a miracle.

  2. Okay, so I know this is going to sound weird coming from me, but Robin is so right! There's a person inside of you! That's so cool! I can't wait to be pregnant!

  4. i know i'm completely ungrateful and in the minority, but i really don't like the pregnancy part of having a baby. i feel your pain, steph. and i hated antacids more than you know by the time the babies came, too. heartburn sucks. but your belly is cute because it does not protrude 3 feet from your body like mine did. it looks like stella is hugging you. :)

  5. I felt like I got bigger with each pregnancy and somehow my babies got smaller! Have you tried papaya enzyme? It's always been the best for me for heartburn.

  6. it's crazy how you get bigger with each new pregnancy... it's like the "fat" knows exactly where to go, so it goes there quickly. i'm with leslie... i HATE being pregnant. it's probably what holds me back from having lots of kids quickly. but i'm glad you love it, i wish i did.

  7. You are seriously soooo adorable pregnant!!! Just a belly and nothing else! I think I'll get as big as a house! You, on the other hand, are too cute for words!!

  8. Steph, your 3rd trimester sounds like mine. I have a friend that is due in 3 weeks that has been recently painting her bathrooms and bedrroms in her house. I couldn't have done it...

Makes you grateful when the baby actually comes!

You look very cute, by the way!

  9. not a fan of being pregnant, but i love the outcome.

as for heart burn, i had it SO bad. i took prilosec (OTC) every day. worked like a charm and no antacids to chew!

  13. I love that you look so pregnant... and you still have 15 weeks (or so) to go!!!!! :) Pregnancies can have their discomforts, but there is no greater feeling than that little baby inside of you growing every day.

  15. You look so cute- I love pregnant ladies! I had really bad digestion trouble with Emma and my Dr told me to take a Malox with Zantac and it was like a miracle! I had tried Tums and Malox alone with almost no relief.
