Phew. Schools out.

And not a moment too soon. I don't think Mabel's school shoes would have lasted one more day.

I'm glad it's summer. Life is better when Mabel is home all day.

back in the saddle

It's been almost 3 weeks, and I am finally starting to feel capable again. Today I started with the sheets. Next up, I might try driving.

Elliot loves a good swaddle.

I have four kids. I'm not sure how I got here, but I sure do like it.

Each time we have a new baby, I feel like our family gets more official. Now with four, I'd say we are seriously official.

These days, you will most likely find me on the couch nursing/holding the baby/dozing. I don't mind, but Stella might. She's been hearing "in a minute" from me a lot lately, which she just completely ignores, of course.

Mabel and Oliver really really love Elliot. The first thing they want to do when they get home from school is hold him.

Having a newborn makes everything better (a little harder, but a lot better). He might be small, but his spirit is mighty. He makes our home a more peaceful place. Everything moves a bit slower, which is always a good thing. I love it and I am doing my best to soak it up.

He's only been around for 2 weeks, but I already can't imagine our family without him.

Darn it.

He's already one week old. It's going by too fast.

I know we all got here pretty much the same way, but that doesn't make the fact that he's here any less miraculous.

We're in heaven.

We really like him.

We're home.
